A LETTER FOR ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE AMM WHO WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERNATIONAL ENCOUNTER IN NOVEMBER, 2009

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Dear Friends in the love of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal:

Very soon we will be gathering for the International Encounter, which will be held at the Motherhouse of the Daughters of Charity, in Paris (140 rue du Bac, phone 00-331-49 54 78 78), from November 15 to 20.  These days will be beautiful ones, because we will be talking about that which we love: the Virgin Mary and our beloved Association.

With this letter we are attaching the program for the Encounter and we are confirming that we are to arrive at the Motherhouse of the Daughters of Charity in Paris (rue du Bac), between 3 and 5 pm on Sunday, November 15. Please, no earlier and no later.  There we will have information about your room location and room number and other information about the Encounter.  It is now convenient to mention that the payment for your stay at the Encounter will be 235 Euros per person, as was mentioned in January.  If you are bringing a financial contribution from your country to AMM International, you can present the money at the same time.

The Encounter will end on Friday, November 20, at 3:30 pm with a meal.

We are also attaching the Basic Text 01 from the International Statutes, which will be the basic document for our reflections.  It is the proposed text for the International Council, which has been sent to you, along with the suggestions which you have offered. Of the 53 countries which make up the AMM, we received suggestions from 8 countries.

On November 18, we have an international festival or cultural evening planned, after we return from Fain-les-Moutiers. Are any of our national groups able to participate and in what way?  In what language? It would be important to let us know ahead of time.

It also would be good for each country to bring materials or items which you use in your work of AMM, to show what is being done in a certain area, and in this way to share what we are doing in our Associations.  What can you bring and share with us?

Once again we ask you that in these days you intensify your prayer so that the Lord and Mary inspire us to do the best we can for AMM and so that we may be more faithful.  We pray that this petition may be extended to all the members of the AMM of your countries.
