The whole letter is very expressive, easy reading, and with very clear approach, thus it is very difficult to give “guidelines for reading”.  It is enough to read it carefully and underlining the points which seem more significant to the reader.  Even so, we propose some suggestions.

The steps of the meeting could be the following:

  1. Introduction by the presenter, emphasizing the importance of the letter, its theme and its author, and the moment in which we live in the Church, in the world, and in the AMM.

  2. Reading it aloud, or allowing time for everyone to read it and underline it.
  3. In this letter, at a personal level, emphasize the most significant points.  A point of Dialogue might be to ask everyone present what they know about Vincent de Paul, Louise de Marillac, Antoine Portail, or Justin de Jacobis . . . This would tell much about what would come later.

The moderator would clarify any questions of understanding of the text and its contents which the readers might have encountered.

  4. Seeing what kind of understanding there is of the Vincentian Family, in general.
  5. Seeing what kind of understanding there is of the AMM.

  6. To what extent and how we are to live it in our Local or Diocesan Center.
How we can do it especially in this Jubilee Year.

  7. 4.1.  in the area of Charity
To see what can be the plan of solidarity which we can adopt that makes our Jubilee celebration credible.
It can be a commitment to intensify plans already adopted by the National AMM or the Vincentian Family, especially the theme of special family emergency accounts or other new projects.

4.2. in the area of Mission
How to intensify the evangelization that is already done by the AMM in this Jubilee Year?
How can we make it worthwhile?

  8. How are we going to participate in the international reflection?

  9. We propose to put the monthly study topics on the web page of the Vincentian Family (www.famvin.org).
Sharing them, in time, with the participants in the meetings, in order to prepare the topics.  To set a monthly time , from next September, to hold the study and reflection meeting.  And to be faithful to that date.

  10. To think about encounters or celebrations we can have to celebrate the Jubilee Year alone, as the AMM, or with other branches of the Vincentian Family.

  11. To make copies of the Jubilee Prayer, distributing them and foreseeing what occasions to use them communally in the AMM.
