International Statutes
The International Statutes are the foundational document for the entire Association. They are available in Latin, English, French, and Spanish. Also available is a historical commentary on the statutes, written by one who was at the meeting when the statutes were drawn up. It explains some of the principles and reasons why the statutes were written as they were—simple and open to adaptation. Finally, the rite of investiture in the Miraculous Medal is also in this section.

Approved National Statutes
Particular Statutes are included in the section after the Director General has approved them. They are samples of how the Association adapts itself to different regions and cultures. In some countries, the statutes are not only a church document but also a civil document. Ideally, statutes are foundational, generic, and change only on rare occasions. Just as particular statutes supplement the international statutes and make them specific, so also norms, bylaws, directories, or handbooks supplement, specify, and clarify the particular statues.
