Welcome from the Director General

Dear sisters and brothers:

I take the opportunity that our webpage of the Association of the Miraculous Medal offers me to give a WELCOME to all, to the members of the Association and to those who, perhaps without intending to or by the will of God, are reading it at this moment.

John Paul II said to us in his Encyclical, Redemptoris Missio, that the communications media are “the first areopagus of the modern age.”   Internet has turned into the most powerful of the media for great possibilities; we can communicate in real time and, overcoming any border, we enter into communication with all kinds of persons and cultures.

As members of the Association, this media allows us to communicate and dialogue, to spread the message that our Lady of the Miraculous Medal gave us in 1830, to exchange topics of formation and all that our creativity inspires us as most timely for strengthening communion among all of us.

At the same time it is our responsibility not only to receive but also to contribute our ideas, our knowledge in order to make this page a true source of evangelization.  I invite you to participate in order that our offering each day may be more in tune with the needs of those who visit us and may also be a way which we, as members of the Vincentian family, may use to respond in a supportive way to the needs of the most abandoned.

Mary, our Mother was always aware of what was happening around her. May she help us to follow her example, and always be attentive to the world around us, so that, like her, we may respond to God's will for us.
